We are receiving more and more reports of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome patients encountering problems with access issues and prescription drugs.

One example, since Lyrica has been approved by the FDA for fibromyalgia, some insurance companies are requiring failure of step therapies before considering paying for Lyrica.

News 4 in St. Louis, Missouri, in March 2008, covered the story of a local woman who was denied access by her insurance company to prescription drugs to treat her fibromyalgia.  To see the News 4 coverage, use the following website:
